~Lady Sugarsheen's Holiday Gift Giving Guide!~

The Night Before Cyber Monday
By Lady Sugarsheen

It was the night before Cyber Monday, and all through the house, not a computer was searching, not even its mouse.

My credit cards were laid by their due dates with care, in hopes of 75% off sales and free shipping, as well.

With Lady Sugarsheen’s suggestions, I knew what to buy. She had all the great brands, on her gift giving guide.

As I dreamt off to sleep, cuddled up cozy in my nice comfy bed, Sugar Me Sweet thoughts danced in my head.

I had just settled in after a warm soothing bath, with a Bubble Cake Bar, from Moon’s Harvest. Net.

Dawn’s early day break brought the sound of squeaky truck brakes. Without a moment to spare, I flew out of bed, and went straight down the stairs.

I yelled, “out of my way, it’s the Fed Ex Man” to my little sis Kate. With the sound of a knock, I hurried my pace.

I threw open the door, and squealed in delight, boxes and packages greeted my sight.

In the blink of an eye, he was back in his truck; he gave a quick nod as he started it up.

When he rounded the bend, I heard him call out, “Happy Holidays to all and to all a beep beep!”

I awoke with a start, not a second to spare, at last Cyber Monday was finally here!

The End!

~Madeleine Mono Beauty Kit Review - Cosmetique!~

Hey everyone!

This is a review on Madeleine Mono’s Beauty Kit available at Cosmetique!

Cosmetique is an online retailer that offers a wide variety of cosmetics from multiple brands such as: Too Faced, Madeleine Mono, Joey New York, and many more! All of the products are reasonably priced, and I love that I can buy everything I need in one place! Perfect for Holiday shopping this year!

The Madeleine Mono Beauty Kit contains: Special Effects Face Powder, Viva Diva Eye Shadow Collection, Viva Diva Duo Lip Liner, Color Plus Lipstick, Nail Strengthener, and Hand & Cuticle Repair Cream. Total Retail Value$68.50, Cosmetique’s Price $29.50!

Madeleine Mono’s Special Effects Face Powder

The Madeleine Mono’s Special Effects Face Powder is a gorgeous array of colors from bronze to pink! Each color is separated from the others, so I have the choice of mixing them together or using each one individually. If all of the colors are used together, this face powder creates a subtle glow on my skin. If the colors are used individually, I have the choice of using this product for bronzer, blush, and highlight. More than anything, I love the softness that is left on my skin after using this product!

The packaging of Madeleine Mono’s Special Effects Face Powder is distinctive! There are two sections to the case: The first section contains the face powder and large mirror, while the second section contains a flat brush.

Talk about a perfect all-in-one!

Pros:
~Colors can be used together or separately
~Soft finish to skin
~All-in-one packaging

Cons:
~None!

Madeleine Mono Viva Diva Eye Shadow Collection

The Viva Diva Eye Shadow Collection contains nine beautiful and unique eye colors. The eye shadows are highly pigmented with a rich, creamy consistency that blends like a dream, while lasting all day!

Even though this case is a bit large for every day traveling, I absolutely love it! Madeleine Mono got it right with this packaging! When I open the palette, there is a decent size mirror in the lid. There is also a hard, plastic flip sleeve covering the eye shadows, which keeps the palette and mirror clean! In addition, the two sponge tip applicators are perfect to use when applying the eye shadows.

Pros:
~Gorgeous colors
~Lasts all day
~Unique, high quality packaging

Cons:
~Packaging can be a bit large for traveling

Madeleine Mono Color Plus Lipstick

The Madeleine Mono Color Plus Lipstick in the shade Plum pout is great to use anytime I want my lips to look their best! The formulation of the lipstick and frost finishes is very moisturizing, and does not sink into the lines of my lips. I find that the lipstick and frost finishes will last 2 to 3 hours before reapplication is needed.

The chic design, dual ended packaging is great to toss into a purse, makeup bag, or clutch.

Pros:
~Gorgeous color
~Glides on smooth
~Chic packaging

Cons:
~Color only lasts 2 to 3 hours

Madeleine Mono Viva Diva Duo Lip Liner

The Madeleine Mono Viva Diva Duo Lip Liner has two gorgeous shades to choose from: Warm and Cool. The lip liner is extremely creamy in texture, and glides on my lips with ease. I find that Mono Viva Diva Duo Lip Liner will last between 3 and 4 hours, before needing a touch up. My favorite way to wear the lip liner is under a top coat of light gloss!

Pros:
~Two colors
~Glides on smooth
~Creamy texture
~Lasts for 3 to 4 hours

Cons:
~None

Madeleine Mono Nail Strengthener

The Madeleine Mono Nail Strengthener comes in a typical nail polish package. The thin brush allows for easy application of the nail strengthener, which is basically a clear coat that is the same consistency, and smell of nail polish. This product does dry relatively quickly. However, I only wish Madeleine Mono Nail Strengthener was oil instead.

Pros:
~Small brush
~Dries quickly

Cons:
~Like a nail varnish
~Has nail varnish smell

Madeleine Mono Hand & Cuticle Repair Cream

Madeleine Mono’s Hand & Cuticle Repair Cream is perfect to keep in my purse! I just love the soft, citrus scent of the lotion! It leaves my skin very moisturized and hydrated. It also absorbs quickly, which means my hands do not have a greasy feel to them.

Pros:
~Non-greasy feel
~Absorbs into skin quickly
~Light citrus scent
~Perfect size to travel

Cons:
~None

Overall, I rate the Madeleine Mono Beauty Kit at 4.25 out of 5 sugarcubes! This is a great deal for a holiday gift, and is sure to make any beauty lover merry!

Alima Pure Eye Shadow Review!

Hey everyone!

This is a review on the Alima Pure Eye shadows in the shades: Sky, Meadow, Gazelle, Wedgewood, and Lilac!

From Left to Right:
~Sky
~Gazelle
~Meadow
~Wedgewood
~Lilac

These highly pigmented eye shadows have a smooth and silky texture that blends together beautifully. When I want to add an extra ‘pop’ of color to my eyes, I just dust one of the shades all over. Either way, Alima Pure eye shadows allow me to create a work of art, on my lids!

From Left to Right:
~Sky
~Gazelle
~Meadow
~Wedgewood
~Lilac

I find it’s best to use an eye shadow primer before application, if I want these eye shades to last longer than 4 to 5 hours, without creasing.

The eye shadows retail for $9.00, or you can purchase a sample size for $1.00!

Pros:
~Fine texture
~Highly pigmented
~Beautiful colors
~Blend easily
~Easy way to add a ‘pop’ of color

Cons:
~Without eye shadow primer, only lasts 4 to 5 hours without creasing.

Overall, I rate these eye shadows at 4.5 out of 5 sugarcubes! Alima Pure eye shadows are a perfect way to instantly brighten up any eye color, or makeup with ease.

Alima Pure Eye Liner Review!

Hey everyone!

This is a review on the Alima Pure Shimmer Eye Liner in the shades Masquerade and Black Cherry.

From Left to Right:
~Black Cherry
~Masquerade

The Alima Pure Shimmer Eye Liner, in the shades Masquerade and Black Cherry are stunning with their rich, smooth texture. They are easy to work with and can be used wet or dry, depending on the intensity desired. I love to use this multi-purpose product as an eye shadow to create a sultry, smoked out appearance. Either way, my shimmering eyes look ready for a red carpet moment.

From Left to Right:
~Black Cherry
~Masquerade

The sample size jars are great for me, because I am able to try many different colors, without going over my budget. The only issue I have with this eye liner is a slight fallout during application. I have found an easy remedy though; I just tap off the excess before use.

This product retails for $10.00, or you can purchase a sample size for $1.00!

Pros:
~Beautiful, rich colors
~Easy to apply
~Can use as eye shadow

Cons:
~Slight fallout

Overall, I rate Alima Pure Shimmer Eye Liner at 4.5 out of 5 sugarcubes! This little genie in a bottle can transform any simple daytime look into a sultry nighttime appearance.

Alima Pure Color Balancing Powder Review!

Hey everyone!

This is a review on the Alima Pure Pistachio Color Balancing Powder!

The Alima Pure Pistachio Color Balancing Powder has a slight green tint that counteracts redness with ease. I like to use this powder all over my face and for spot treatments, when I have small blemishes, or red patches.

I do find that the correcting powder can settle into the fine lines of my skin, leaving a cakey appearance. To solve this problem, I use a facial hydrating spray after application.

This product retails for $15.00, or you can purchase a sample size for $1.00!

Pros:
~Corrects redness
~Blends easily into skin

Cons:
~Can settle into fine lines
~Can appear cakey
~Drying

Overall, I rate this product at 2.75 out of 5 sugarcubes! This product works best for spot treatment on small blemishes!

XoXo,
Whitney

Alima Pure Blush Review!

Hey everyone!

This is a review on the Alima Pure Blush in the shades Apple Blossom and Leigh.

From Left to Right:
~Apple Blossom
~Leigh

The texture of these two blushes leaves my face feeling soft and smooth. The powders are very fine, so I never have to worry about a cakey appearance on my cheeks. Just remember, these are loose mineral powder blushes, so it can be a little messy when applying.

From Left to Right:
~Apple Blossom
~Leigh

Apple Blossom is a natural, soft pale pink matte color.  The hint of color from this blush brings back the apple cheeks of my youth!

Leigh is a beautiful natural rose color, with a subtle copper shimmer. The hint of color from this blush leaves my cheeks with a healthy glow!

This product retails for $15.00, or you can try a sample size for only $1.00!

Pros:
~Smooth texture
~Gorgeous colors
~Never appears cakey

Cons:
~Can be messy when applying

Overall, I rate Alima Pure blushes at 4.25 out of 5 sugarcubes! Everyone should have these colors in their makeup collection!

XoXo,
Whitney

Alima Pure Foundation Review!

Hey everyone!

This is a review on the Alima Pure Foundation in the shades Cool 2 and Neutral 2!

The Alima Pure mineral foundation in the shades Cool 2 and Neutral 2 is extremely light in weight and coverage. I use it as a setting powder for my liquid foundation, and for on-the-go touchups!

Since Alima Pure has several foundation shades available, everyone can find their perfect match!

The product retails for $20.00, or a sample size can be purchased for $1.50!

Pros:
~Works well to set liquid foundation
~Light coverage
~Several shades available

Cons:
~Only light coverage

Overall, I rate this product at 3.5 out of 5 sugarcubes! This mineral foundation is a perfect setting powder to use with a liquid foundation.
