~Green With Envy - Eye Look!~

Hey everyone!

This is the eye look I wore for today!

I call it "Green with Envy!"

This look is inspired by St. Patrick's Day, and Spring Time!

I used this old green eye shadow quad (I do not know the name of it!) and my new Lash Fusion XL Mascara!

All I simply did was place the Medium Green all over my lid, then the Light Green in the inner corner, and finally the Dark Green in the outer corner. Blend the colors lightly together to avoid any harsh lines.

Top it off with the white as a highlight under the brow, and a quick light coat of mascara!

Now, you have a quick and simple, yet gorgeous eye look!

Let me know what you think of it!

XoXo,
Whitney

Note: The mascara was provided to me by Fusion Beauty in order to test out and review. The eye shadow is so old I do not know where I purchased it from! I am not associated with any company listed above, nor am I being paid to post this. As always, my reviews and opinions are 100% my own!

~Salisbury in Wonderland~

Hey everyone!

Since Alice in Wonderland has come out this month, I thought this picture completely suited the occasion!

This picture is from the Chick-Fil-A 2010 Calendar for the month of March!

Salisbury in Wonderland
After falling into a hole while grazing for hay, the young Salisbury finds herself in an eccentric world where no bovine is what he seems. Despite warnings from Cattledee and Cattledum, Salisbury is entrapped by the Chef of Hearts. But the quick-witted calf soon escapes after distracting the Chef with the Furry Hatter's riddle: "What came first, the chicken or the bun?"
Hope you enjoyed!

~Honeycat Cosmetics - Hiss Good Night Pink Peppermint Lip Gloss Review!~

Hey everyone!

This is a review of the Honeycat Cosmetics – Hiss Good Night Pink Peppermint Lip Gloss!

This lip gloss is an absolutely gorgeous bright pink color with tons of pink and bluish green glitter. The bluish green tones give the glitter a lavender appearance. Now, I know most glosses that have a lot of glitter tend to feel gritty, but this one truly does not. The gloss has an incredible sparkle and shine, along with being non-sticky, and not feeling heavy on my lips. In fact, my lips feel completely moisturized after applying this lip gloss!

The lip gloss has a brush applicator, and normally I am not a fan of brush applicators; however, this one is different! The brush is stiffer, which allows you to be in control of where the gloss goes.

When I first read the name of the product, Hiss Good Night Pink Peppermint Lip Gloss, I thought it would smell like Peppermint. In reality, it does not have a scent at all. This is a huge plus, if you are sensitive to strong smells!

Hiss Good Night Pink Peppermint Lip Gloss retails for $16.00. When compared to the cost of other glosses, the price is not that high, for the quality. Not to mention the fact, that the packaging is awesome. The lip gloss comes in a lovely designed cylinder tube that is durable.

This lip gloss would be great to give as a gift for any special occasion: Bachelorette, birthday, stocking stuffer, valentine, and countless others.

Pros:
~Fantastic color
~Great shine
~Brush applicator
~Long-Lasting
~Adorable packaging

Cons (only one!):
~It is a little pricey at $16.00

Before

After

Overall, I rate this lip gloss at 5 out of 5 sugarcubes! It is a must have for any girl who wants that sexy pout!

The packaging itself, I rate at 5 out of 5 sugarcubes! This beautiful cylinder can be used for many different things.

Whitney

~Honeycat Cosmetics - Cat on a Hot Tin Candle Review~

Hey everyone!

This is a review of the Honeycat Cosmetics – Cat on a Hot Tin Coconut Milk/Mango Soy Candle.

I have not had much success with soy candles in the past, but this candle has completely changed my mind!

The candle’s fragrance is soft and relaxing. I personally light this candle on my desk while I am
typing on my blog. The coconut and mango combine fantastically in this product, and give you the perfect combination to unwind at the end of the day.

As for the candle itself, it burns evenly, which results in a fantastic smell!

The packaging of this candle is absolutely amazing! Honeycat Cosmetics’ owner, Terry, has put a lot of thought into the presentation of her products. The box that the candle comes in is extremely heavy duty, and of great quality! I love that the retro packaging takes you back in time, to the 50’s and early 60’s.

The description placed on the packaging reads: Ooh what a little candle light can do! Warm sultry nights, and a full moon, a purrfect combination to relax with Honeycat Cosmetics mango/coconut milk pure soy candle. Top things off with a Warm Milk Martini, and your favorite Tom Cat. Come on baby light my fire!

There is no need for a special occasion to give this candle; it would make a purrfect gift to give any time of the year!

Pros:
~Fantastic Scent
~Burns Evenly
~Adorable packaging

Cons:
~Small candle size
~It is a bit pricey for its size - $15

Overall, I rate this candle at 4.5 out of 5 sugarcubes. I believe this is an extremely high quality candle, and the scent is unique and relaxing!

The packaging itself, I rate at 5 out of 5 sugarcubes! I believe that Honeycat Cosmetics has purrfected the appearance and packaging of its products!

Whitney

~Honeycat Cosmetics - On The Prowl Shower Gel Review!~

Hey everyone!

This is a review of the Honeycat Cosmetics’ – On the Prowl Peach Brandy Shower Gel!

This shower gel is extremely cute in its champagne style bottle, it makes you want to celebrate the occasion of pampering yourself each and every time you use it! The smell is reminiscence of sweet peach schnapps on a warm summer’s day!

After using this shower gel, I immediately felt refreshed and rejuvenated! My skin was very soft and completely clean! I felt as if I could squeak!

I find that this shower gel is a bit hard to get a rich lather from, and the yummy peach smell does not linger. However, I detected a slight almond scent afterwards.

It is a little on the pricier side, retailing at $16.00.

The packaging is very cute, but I do not think it is as cute as some of the other packaging.

This would make a great gift to anyone who loves to shower and pamper themselves!

Pros:
~Great scent
~Adorable champagne style bottle
~Faint almond scent lingers on skin

Cons:
~Peach and Brandy scent does not stay on skin after the shower
~A bit on the pricey side $16.00
~Does not produce a rich lather

Overall, I rate this shower gel at 3.75 out of 5 sugarcubes! I believe the scent is amazing, but I wish the peach fragrance lasted on the skin longer!

XoXo,
Whitney

~The Body Shop Matte Eye Shadows Review!~

Hey everyone!

This review is on The Body Shop matte eye shadows.

I purchased these two products for $0.90 each, during their huge sale online. Great deal!!

The packaging is very small yet durable, and has not scratched on me yet! I have dropped these little eye shadows on my carpet, and they did not break! Granted I may have just been lucky at the time!

The lid has a clear window, which helps you know instantly what color you have in your hand. The downside to the packaging is that the name of the shade is not listed on the bottom, instead you view only numbers such as: 09 or 12. This is not the end of the world, but I always love reading the names of products, and somehow I have yet to remember the numbers of the shades.

As far as the products themselves, I find that these matte eye shadows last on my lids all day, and do not crease. The shades that I purchased are very neutral shades, and compliment any outfit I wear!

These eye shadows are light weight, and very fine in texture. I have been using the more skin toned shade to cover up the circles under my eyes, and it really does the job! An added bonus to the skin tone shade is that it helps to blend out any harsh lines, left by other eye shadows. I use the darker brown shade all over my lid.

Pros:

~Great smooth texture

~Does not crease

~Last for hours

~Packaging is durable and small

~Can blend out easily

Cons:

~The original price is rather expensive

~No shade name on the bottom of the packaging

~Does not pack onto a brush well (I just use my fingers)

Overall, I rate this product at 3.75 out of 5 sugarcubes. I think this is a great eye shadow to keep with you, and would be great to travel with. I would repurchase this, but only on sale!

XoXo,

Whitney

Note: I purchased this product with my own money. I am not associated with the company listed above, nor are they paying me to review their product. As always, this is my honest opinion! :)

~Sweet Libertine Mineral Cosmetics Eye Shadow Review!~

Hey everyone!

Here is my review of the Sweet Libertine Mineral Eye Shadows!

Sweet Libertine mineral eye shadows are vibrant with color and have fun, witty names. If you are like me, then the names of products are very important to you! I know that I am way more likely to purchase a product that has a name that catches my eye.

The colors that Sarah sent to me are absolutely gorgeous, and very pigmented. My absolute favorite one is called Café Au Lait, and I have been wearing it almost every day. I wear Café Au Lait as a lid color with Smokey Joe in the outer corner and crease.

The textures of the eye shadows are very silky and smooth, and blend effortlessly as well as enhance one another. In addition, they have a beautiful sheen to them that last all day. This gives your eyes a sparkle without creasing and little to no fallout. Just remember, to give a good tap to your makeup brush (or finger if you are like me, and in a hurry)! You can apply a light wash of color, or build up the eye shadow for a more dramatic look, because you never know when you might meet a really cute guy, so it’s important to always look great!

Sweet Libertine mineral eye shadows are smaller than your average mineral eye shadow containers, but I find this to be a plus. The smaller containers make for easy storage in my makeup bag, and I know that I can actually finish them!

Unfortunately, I have found that larger eye shadow containers can end up being around for years; until they are used up or worst yet, thrown away due to caking, or just plain out of date colors.

Pros:
~Beautiful colors
~Easy to apply
~Little to no fall out
~Smaller jar size
~Silky, smooth texture
~Does not crease

Cons (there is only one!):
~Large shifter holes (which can lead to powder spilling over and being messy)

From left to right the colors are: Smokey Joe (a beautiful purple, grey color with silver glitter), Cafe Au Lait (a gorgeous deep copper color), and Endor (an amazing rich emerald green color).

From left to right the colors are: Tan Line (a beautiful brown/copper color with gold flecks), Manhattan Project (a gorgeous mint/mossy green color), Seven Below (an amazing ice blue with a silver sheen), Satin Sheets (a rich, vibrant purple with a gold tint), and Forbidden Fruit (an elegant gold fairy dust color) .

Overall, I rate these eye shadows at 5 out of 5 sugarcubes! I love these eye shadows, they are high quality and absolutely gorgeous! They will always be an essential in my makeup bag!

~Sweet Libertine Mineral Cosmetics~

Hey everyone!

Sarah from Sweet Libertine Mineral Cosmetics was sweet enough to send me some mineral eye shadows to try out and review!

When I found this package in the mailbox, it completely made my day!

Inside the envelope, Sarah mailed me 5 samples of eye shadows, 3 full size eye shadows, a business card and magnet, and a beautiful thank you note!

I am amazed at the beautiful, vibrant colors of these eye shadows, and I cannot wait to wear them all!

These are the full size products Sarah sent me, and the packaging is absolutely adorable! Plus, all of the names are cute, witty, and fun.

From left to right the swatches are: Smokey Joe (a beautiful purple, grey color with silver glitter), Cafe Au Lait (a gorgeous deep copper color), and Endor (an amazing rich emerald green color).

First impressions are very important to me, and I feel that these mineral eye shadows so far beat out all of the ones that I currently own!

Plus, these eye shadows are affordable for everyone! They range in price from $5- $7 depending on what collection they are from.
