~Mineral Essence Eye Shimmer Review~

Hey everyone!

This is a review on the Mineral Essence Eye Shimmer in Quartz.

Here is a bit of information from the website: For more than just a pretty face, these revolutionary formulas are blended with the breakthrough Anti-oxyzome™ technology, a fusion of powerful antioxidants, vitamins and minerals that help reduce fine lines and wrinkles, leaving skin softer, healthier and younger-looking with each use. Choose from 18 shades of these beautiful shimmer powders.

I use this Eye Shimmer for many things such as: Eye Shadow, Eye Highlight, Face Highlight, and Body Highlight/Shimmer.

The texture of the Eye Shimmer is extremely fine and smooth. I apply it with either a brush or
my fingers.

Mineral Essence Eye Shimmer is perfect for that romantic date when you want your eyes to sparkle. The Eye Shimmer lasts for 3-4 hours without needing a touchup. However, some of the glitter will disappear over that time frame. So if you want to maintain a heavy sparkle, I would reapply after a couple of hours. If you do not tap off your brush, there can be some fallout with the glitter, which can result in a mess.

I mainly use this Eye Shimmer as an eye shadow and as a highlight underneath my brow. I will also use my Grand Kabuki Brush, and dust the Eye Shimmer along my shoulders, arms and chest for a summery shimmer! Normally, the shimmer will last on my skin for 2-3 hours.

This Eye Shimmer retails for $16.00.

Pros:
~Beautiful color/shimmer
~Multi-purpose
~Smooth/Fine texture
~Easy to use

Cons:
~It can get messy with slight glitter fallout
~Larger shifter holes

Overall, I rate the Mineral Essence Eye Shimmer at 4.5 out of 5 sugarcubes! It is a great multi-purpose product that can help you shine when you need it most!

~Mineral Essence Mineral Foundation Review~

Hey everyone!

This is a review on the Mineral Essence Foundation. My shade match is L3.

Here is a bit of information from the Mineral Essence website: Discover perfect, flawless coverage for any skin tone and type. MINERAL ESSENCE foundations are made of 100% pure micronized minerals and are free of additives, oils, talc, and harsh chemicals. Available in 15 shades, this featherweight formula creates a naturally luminous, radiant look. Plus, it glides on so smoothly, it's like you're not wearing any makeup at all!

This mineral foundation turned out to be my perfect match! At first, I had my doubts because Mineral Essence had so many colors to choose from. However, I was lucky and picked the right one for me!

Foundation L3 is light with yellow undertones. To match your shade on Mineral Essences Foundation Wheel, follow this link!

I found this mineral foundation to be extremely light weight with excellent coverage. When I applied the product, my skin felt soft and smooth, without appearing cakey. Mineral Essence has been the first mineral foundation that truly allowed my skin to breathe.

With other mineral foundations, my nose, chin, and forehead became shiny with oil, in the first 10 minutes. To make matters worse, my skin seemed to have an allergic reaction (resulting in a red rash, hot cheeks, and breakouts!). This Mineral Essence foundation is completely different! My shininess and sensitivity is nowhere to be seen.

In addition, my skin is extremely sensitive to the sun and heat, leaving my cheeks pink/red all of the time. Occasionally, I have found this to work in my favor, because I rarely have a need for blush! However, this foundation worked great to mute my redness into a soft (flattering!) pink shade.

I love applying this foundation with the Mineral Essence Grand Kabuki Brush, but any dense, fluffy face brush will work perfectly!

The only downside to the packaging is that the shifter holes are a bit large. This can lead to more product coming out and a bit of a mess.

This mineral foundation retails for $26.00.

Pros:
~Light weight
~Great coverage
~Perfect matching shade
~A little goes along way
~Did not cause skin reactions for me

Cons:
~Larger shifter holes

Overall, I rate this foundation at 4.75 out of 5 sugarcubes! This foundation is an excellent investment for your makeup collection!

~Mineral Essence Grand Kabuki Brush Review~

Hey everyone!

This is a review on the Mineral Essence Grand Kabuki Brush.

When I first saw this brush, I was amazed at how cute it was! The Kabuki Brush comes in its own protective travel case, keeping it from getting damaged or dirty.

The Grand Kabuki Brush is the perfect size to apply foundation, blush, and body powder.

The brush itself is extremely dense, which allows you to pick up more product, and buff it into your skin with ease.

The bristles are super soft, and they make you feel as if you are pampering your skin just by using the brush!

I find that based on the size of the brush, I am able to apply my mineral foundation in half the time. Plus, I never look cakey with powder when I use this Kabuki!

I have not had a single hair shed from the brush, which is absolutely awesome! You can truly tell a high quality brush, when there are no shedding hairs!

The Mineral Essence Grand Kabuki Brush retails for $30.00.

Pros:
~Extremely soft bristles
~Has never shed
~Very dense
~Applies powder evenly
~Easy to use

Cons (There aren’t any!):

Overall, I rate the Mineral Essence Kabuki Brush at 5 out of 5 sugarcubes! This Kabuki brush is the perfect size for most uses, and it has never shed. It is an amazing brush for the price!

~Milani Cosmetics 3D Glitzy Glamour Gloss Review!~

Hey everyone!

This is a review on the Milani Cosmetics’ 3D Glitzy Glamour Gloss.

Here is the products description found on the Milani Cosmetics’ website: New soft and brilliant Glitzy formula filled with super shiny polymers and the next generation of pearls to create the illusion of 3D depth for fuller, sexier, looking lips.

This lip gloss is available in 7 spectacular shades.

When I first opened this lip gloss, I was stunned by the vibrant color and glitter.

This lip gloss is non-sticky and full of glamour! Even with all of the glitter in the gloss, it is not gritty! I use this gloss by itself, or with any lipstick; it’s also great to blend with other glosses as well. I find that the gloss will last up to 2-3 hours, as long as I do not eat or drink.

There is a delicious vanilla cream smell to the gloss; it reminds me of biting into a scrumptious vanilla cream cycle bar, and this makes me very happy!

The gloss has a brush applicator, which I find helps to apply it in a smooth and neat manner. I am able to get gloss just on my lips and not anywhere else!

The packaging of the gloss itself is gorgeous! I love the clear bottle and gold detailing! Pulling out this gloss will definitely get you noticed!

Pros:
~Non-sticky
~Delicious vanilla smell
~Beautiful color
~Beautiful packaging
~Brush applicator

Cons (Only One!):
~Does not last as long as other glosses

Overall, I rate this gloss at 4.75 out of 5 sugarcubes. This is an amazing gloss to always have on hand for those extra special nights, when you want to feel like a star!

~Rimmel London - Moisture Renew Lip Color Review!~

Hey everyone!

This is a review on the Rimmel London Moisture Renew Lip Color SPF 18.

Here is a bit of information from the press release: This moisture-infused lip essential reduces lip dryness by up to 65% for smoother lips and better color. Rimmel London’s Moisture Renew Lip Color was developed with SPF 18 and a cutting edge Self Adapting Moisture Complex that features Hylaronic Acid, Collagen and Vitamins A, C and E to nourish lips, leaving them with a smoother surface for better color and wear. The creamy, moisturizing shades come richly wrapped in an elegant metallic purple case. The lip color is available in 24 shades.

When I first used these lipsticks, I was amazed at how smooth they glided on. They have a creamy consistency, and do not settle into the lines of my lips. I also love the fact that they have SPF 18! This lets me look beautiful, while adding sun protection to my lips!

The colors are very pigmented and moisturizing. My lips feel smooth and soft while wearing the lipsticks. They will last up to 3 hours without the need for a touchup, as long as I do not eat or drink.

The only problem I have is that there is a slight powder aroma to the lipsticks.

The metallic purple packaging is eye-catching and absolutely gorgeous! The lipstick cases are extremely durable and do not scratch easily.

From Top to Bottom:
~Latino
~Iced Coffee
~Rose Passion

These lipsticks retail for $6.79.

Pros:
~Great pigmentation
~Smooth and creamy texture
~Moisturizes lips
~SPF 18
~High quality packaging
~Affordable prices

Cons:
~Powdery aroma
~Only last for 3 hours without eating or drinking

Barbie in a Mermaid Tale

Hey everyone!

I just wanted to post this cute music video! This is from the movie Barbie in a Mermaid Tale.

Yes, I actually watched this movie, and loved every minute of it! Let's face it girls, there's a little bit of Barbie, in all of us! This movie is great for girls of all ages to enjoy together!

Believe it or not, there's a underwater mall scene in the movie, where the stores are named: Seaphora, Bloomingtail's, and Fred Seagull!

I personally rate this movie at 5 out of 5 sugarcubes!

Enjoy the music video!
