Hey everyone!
Hitting
the red carpet for the hotly anticipated premiere of "Cake" at this
year's Toronto Film Festival, Anna Kendrick's look was
created with one theme in mind -- dreamy daytime. "Since this was a
daytime premiere, we wanted to keep Anna's look a bit more demure than
what you'd expect to see on a nighttime red carpet", says Kendrick's
makeup artist Toby Fleischman.
"Going for a soft, pretty look, I smudged Nars Duo Eyeshadow in Dogon under the bottom lashes and into the corner of her lash line. The irridescent taupe eyeshadow blends beautifully into the gray, creating a very subtle smoke, perfect for daytime", says Fleischman. She followed it up with a few coats of Lancome's Grandiose Mascara, one of her favorites, to get "just the right amount of drama".
"We kept the rest of the face very subtle, using Pur Minerals Cream Blush in Coy, which melts right into the cheeks for a nude, flushed look. And last, but certainly not least, we finished the look off with Burt's Bees new Lip Crayon in Sedona Sands ($9, www.burtsbees.com), which gives the absolute perfect neutral lip. The color is great on a variety of skin tones, and the formula is super moisturizing. Voila!"
I have been testing out these two products for a couple weeks now, and I now know why they used them in this look! The cream blush applies evenly to the skin, and gives you a subtle, natural glow. And, the Burt's Bees Lip Crayon completes the neutral look with a soft lip!
XoXo,
Whitney
