Repair Your Hair As We Head Towards Fall

Hey everyone!

As we slowly transition into fall, it’s time to think about repairing the damage our hair has endured during the past few months. Not only do we put it through the ringer when styling on a daily basis, but the summer sun and elements have also been reaking havoc on our stands!

John Frieda’s Full Repair Collection is all about reversing what’s been done and protecting your hair from further damage.

“So many women who come into the salon have absolutely destroyed their hair by over-styling, over-coloring, and generally overdoing it,” explains Harry Josh, John Frieda® International Creative Consultant. “They traumatize their hair trying to get a certain look, but then they can’t maximize it because their hair is so fried. Full Repair™ offers them damage control that won’t weigh their hair down, letting them style to the limit while actually reversing the damage they’ve done to date.”

The Full Repair collection includes:

~Full Body Shampoo ($6.99): Formulated with Inca Inchi oil, this bodifying shampoo repairs the look and feel of overworked hair as it weightlessly restores bounce for full, flowing styles.

~Full Body Conditioner ($6.99): Omega-rich Inca Inchi oil repairs hair as the formula smoothes and detangles, reducing the risk of breakage and snagging when combing or brushing.

~Protecting Root Lift Foam ($6.99): This lightweight foam protects hair from heat damage with Inca Inchi oil while creating instant body. Work into wet or towel dried hair at the roots for weightless lift and high-volume hair when styled.

~Perfect Ends Deep Infusion ($9.99): This breakthrough product for Medium-Textured Hair instantly absorbs into damaged strands instead of coating the surface, penetrating hair with Inca Inchi oil to weightlessly reverse the look and feel of damage while protecting hair from heat.

~Perfect Ends Sheer Mist ($9.99): This softening mist for Fine-Textured Hair protects heat-damaged hair with omega-rich Inca Inchi oil. Spray evenly through clean, wet hair, concentrating on ends and damaged areas to weightlessly repair and promote smooth, healthy strands.

~Touch-up Flyaway Tamer ($9.99): This portable wand polishes broken strands, smoothing flyaways and frayed ends with Inca Inchi oil to keep hair sleek and smooth. Brush the wand over dry, styled hair for on-the-go touch-ups and a boost of shine.

Smashbox Cosmetics Photo Op Eye Shadow Trio Review

Hey everyone!

This is a review on the Smashbox Cosmetics’ Eye Shadow Trio in the shade Focal Point!

Here is a bit of information from the website. Our fab new trios are all playfulness and color! Get rich, bold hues in just one swipe. Each includes 3 coordinated shadows—base shade, contour color and highlighter—so you’ll never wonder which shades to wear together again. You’ll even find application tips on the peel-back label.

This eye shadow trio is absolutely stunning! Its smooth texture is perfectly color coordinated so that I can create my own glamorous look. What’s more, if I use Smashbox’s Photo Finish Eye Primer, my eyes stay fresh and never crease!

From Left to Right:
~Java
~Flamingo
~Champagne

Smashbox Cosmetics’ Eye Shadow Trio packaging has been revamped, and I like it! The slimmer heavy duty plastic container has a matte finish to prevent smudges. Best of all, they have added a flip top lid with a larger clear window to make access easier.

Beauty Tip For a flawless 3-step look:

1. Prep with Photo Finish Eye Primer.
2. Then use the tapered Shadow Brush #7 to apply the lightest shade all over lid.
3. Next, contour by applying the medium shade in the crease with Crease Brush #10.
4. Finally, define by using Cream Eye Liner Brush #9 to line upper and lower lashlines with the darkest shade.

This product retails for $28.00!

Pros:
~Silky texture
~Three coordinated colors
~Last all day
~No creasing
~Classy and cute packaging

Cons:
~None!

Overall, I rate these eye shadows at 5 out of 5 sugarcubes! Let your eyes take center stage with Smashbox’s Focal Point Eye Shadow Trio!

XoXo,
Whitney

Double Dutch Cosmetics Nail Polish Review!

Hey everyone!

This is an overview on Double Dutch Cosmetics, and their nail polish in the shade Peach Cobbler!

Every now and then I come across a new up and coming beauty line that I just have to share with my readers. Double Dutch Cosmetics is a fast growing, yet caring company located in Houston, Texas. They donate a portion from the sales of their featured items to Breast Cancer Research, helping to find a cure, and Aids Awareness Prevention

Here is a bit of information about them: Double Dutch Cosmetics is an entity of Sky’s The Limit Enterprise LLC founded by twins Raynell and Danyell Hutchison, who believe that every woman is royalty. Created for women of all color, Double Dutch Cosmetics was found to boost the self-confidence of the everyday woman from a student, housewife, to business professional.

Like no other cosmetic line, Double Dutch Cosmetics is a new exciting, youthful brand that caters to duchesses around the globe who love looking their best at all times no matter the occasion.

So what is a Duchess? A Duchess is powerful, strong, independent woman who is the ruler of her domain and is treated like royalty. Simple, yet sheik, this cosmetic line intensifies and enhances the overall appeal of a woman’s beauty both on the inside and out in a fashionable, elegant manner.

"Double Dutch Cosmetics: ...Because You Are Royalty!"

The Peach Cobbler nail polish is a beautiful, vibrant peach shade with an orange iridescent undertone. The formula is a bit sheer, so two coats are necessary for a bright, rich color. Just be sure the first layer is completely dry before applying the second coat, so there is not a problem with streaking. The lacquer does take a long time to dry when layered, so it’s best to apply when you have free time.

Kudos to Double Dutch Cosmetics for their regal packaging. The Peach Cobbler nail polish comes in a royal purple satiny pouch.

This product retails for $6.00.

Pros:
~Beautiful, unique color
~Smaller brush
~Cute packaging

Cons:
~Very long drying time

Check out Double Dutch Cosmetics’ website for the latest news, events, and shopping.  While you’re there, be sure to browse through their dictionary to find your inner Duchess!

XoXo,
Whitney
